Share Your Voice as the Vikings Stadium Takes Shape

How will the stadium construction impact the Hiawatha trail or the 11th Avenue bike lane, amongst other concerns?

On Tuesday, October 23, the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority (MSFA) is holding an environmental scoping public meeting from 5:00-7:00 p.m., in the Halsey Hall Room at the Metrodome.

The meeting isn't about giving the architects feedback on how to incorporate bike facilities into the design of the stadium--those meetings are forthcoming.

Tuesday's meeting is about how the construction will create noise, impact soil and traffic or disrupt the habitat of the Perimyotis Subflavus - the tri-colored bat - which is known to colonize along the Mississippi River. (DNR assessment: it won't disrupt the habitat. See page seven.)

So peruse their preliminary environmental assessment worksheet - and then give the MSFA feedback on Tuesday.

Can’t make the meeting?
