This will make your day: Joyrides are BACK! What’s a Joyride? A Joyride is quite literally a joyful bike ride around Minneapolis with people who also love bicycles, exploring the city, and having fun. Everyone is welcome!
Things and movin’ and shakin’ here at the Coalition and it’s time to bring our Monthly Get Togethers out onto the streets! Once a month we will plan to meet up at one of two locations: Boom Island Park by the shelters near 8th or Matthews Park at the Recreation Center. We will then take a slow, fun, and interactive 5-10 mile cruise through Minneapolis. We’ll meet new people, enjoy each other’s company, discover what’s new and what’s happening with biking in Minneapolis, meet some surprise guests, maybe eat some surprise treats, and roll through our favorite City!
The ride will be muppet-speed paced, so prepare yourselves for a nice, slow roll! The rides will be on August 15th, September 19th, October 17th, and November 21st. We will take a break for the winter but prepare to gear up back again in April! Each Joyride will meet-up at 5:45pm and roll out by 6:15pm.

Meet-up at 5:45pm Roll out at 6:15pm
Where: Boom Island Park, meet by the shelters near 8th.
What to bring: A bike geared up to go with air in the tires and a lubed chain, water, lights, and an optional few bucks for a treat at a Bike Benefits location.
Route: TBD, will be released on each Facebook Event 1 week prior to the event. The general plan for August’s ride is to head up to North Minneapolis to cruise around the Greenway Demonstration. You don’t want to miss it!
